Sebastian Kloz, 1696-1775

Sebastian Kloz (1696-1775) was a second generation of Kloz luthier. Matthias Kloz was his father. It can be said that Sebastian was the greatest and most influential luthier of the entire family. His models and technical designs became the norm for other luthiers. He had a spacious workshop, and in the middle of the 18th century many people studied how to make instruments there. Therefore, there are many instruments with his label on them which were actually made by his pupils. His instruments have a beautiful timbre, and still receive a lot of praise from connoisseurs today.
