Johann Karl Kloz (1709-1769) is a second generation luthier in the Kloz family. Matthias Kloz was his father. His works are elegant and exhibit the Amati style. The arches on his instruments start in the middle and gradually get flat at the edges, and then slightly come up again. His varnishes are fairly thick, and the colors are relatively dark.
