Giuseppe Ceruti, 1785-1860

本資料庫收藏: Violin (1855)

Son of Giovanni Battista, Giuseppe Ceruti (1785-1860) is the second generation of the Ceruti family. Giuseppe entered his father’s workshop at an early age, and his craftsmanship is equal in delicacy to his father. Giuseppe was documented in the archives as a violin maker since 1805. After his father’s death, he changed the registered profession to “violin maker and clarinet inlayer”. This record suggests that Giuseppe not only inherited his father’s violin-making business, but he also took full charge of the whole Ceruti workshop.
