The scroll of this instrument is original and the authentic label “Gio. Battista Rugier detto il per fecit Cremonæ anno 1689”. The slab-cut maple back is covered with horizontal flames of medium-width. The front is composed of tow pieces of medium-width grained spruce. The ribs are also with slab-cut maple, while the neck is made of quarter-cut maple. The varnish is orange brown laid over a golden yellow ground.
